Retail brands have long been delving into the world of publishing by creating custom content for their sites around recipes or seasonal allergy guides. The next logical step is to become retail trading desks too.Vendita auto usate milano concessionari
The point of sale and customer relationship management (CRM) data supermarket chains are constantly gathering is richer than anything any media agency or brand has access to. This data runs both offline and online and brands desperate to better understand their customers would jump at the opportunity to access it. Some global retailers have already been experimenting with this approach, notably Amazon and Walmart, as well as others such as Coles in Australia, but 2016 will be the year the global retail sector really wakes up to the potential of the retail trading desk.
The coming year will see major strides in the aggregation of data from disparate sources into a single view that can be used to drive holistic marketing strategies. Marketers will continue to adopt data management platforms (DMPs) and increase their focus on unifying marketing and advertising data and messaging, resulting in the eventual merger of ad tech and martech.
It will also mean increased collaboration and validated technological partnerships between mid-sized companies looking to make sure their individual solutions can work interoperably towards common marketing goals. The value of third-party data will be further scrutinised as marketers ask, how valuable is data that just about anyone can purchase.
And, with the rise of walled gardens, will second-party data become fragmented. To allow advertisers the best opportunity to engage with consumers, first-party data must still rule. One way we expect brands and agencies to make sure their digital campaigns hit home next year is via an increased focus on moment marketing. Campaigns can be synced to a wide range of events that are likely to impact consumer behaviour, for example a change in the weather, the score of a football match or the screening of a major TV ad campaign.
Everyday changes in the weather are also high on the list of moments that brands want to use to trigger digital campaigns. Other triggers we expect brands to utilise in 2016 include a change in pollution levels. Also that means the money is now going to completely wrong pockets, arguably causing even more damage to the society. This is highly noticeable with video ads, where poorly managed optimization attempts are causing viewers to wait for several seconds and some times even more until the page fully loads or video content starts playing.
I expect to see substantial improvement in 2016 as video-centric platforms gain better technologies to enhance yield and delivery optimization.
Alternatively, its the year of the video-native-social mobile. To continue reading this article, please exit incognito mode or log in. Not so slowly but surely, the cows are being led down the chute to paying for the content they consume. What is interesting are the implications for geek technology cultures which previously signified first adopters and heralded either success or failure of a service or product.
Amazon and iStores fit in well with that. Especially when you compare this with iTunes. There is such an allure to those Apple products, at least so far as I can tell, that Amazon needs to make purchasing a Kindle a simple, almost compulsive act. Especially when you buy that iProduct used!!. This seems to be an almost unnecessary argument for eReaders.
The ability to carry a very large library makes sense there. With a book, however, I can rarely see the need to carry more than one or two (assuming you might be finishing the current book shortly).
I think the killer app in this regard is actually textbooks and reference books.
Large, heavy textbooks at that. Not only do they have the advantage in storing large collections, but search, annotation and other features are far more useful and necessary in this area than they are to the casual reader.
Academic journals will still need to be read and utilized on computers, but the additional ability to access them on an eReader would certainly be a boon in many fields.
The only flaw is that this would require devices capable of color and with a good ability to display graphics. I also suspect that it would only come to a suitably open platform, not one as locked-down as the Kindle with only one provider.
Considering many textbooks are currently the price of a Kindle it should be trivial to find a way to encourage their acceptance heavily. Partnering with schools and offering a method to automatically find and buy all of your books for a semester would help greatly with keeping students with it through convenience.
Why bother tracking down all the books you need, ordering them in advance (either online or reserving them with the campus bookstore) when you can get everything within minutes with a single click and not even having to think about it.
With paper books, depending on how long I will be gone for, that means carrying as many as five books at a time. I used to think text books were going to be the killer use, but have changed my mind about that, at least in the current state of the Kindle. Know roughly where something is in a book, but not the exact page number. The results are pretty impressive and the low-melt alloy they used seems to not effect the sand at all. And, I have to have that melting pot they use.
